CLYDE LATINX SCHOLARSHIP

Minimum GPA: 2.5
Minimum Credits per term: 12
Specific Criteria: Student must have dependent children under age 12 requiring childcare.
Preference: First-generation college students who are also bilingual in Spanish.
Program Requirements: Any certificate or degree program.

Established by Bobbie and John Clyde, long-time Chemeketa employees who created this scholarship fund in retirement to help support student-parents. Their focus is supporting first generation college students in need of childcare assistance who hope to make a positive impact and increase representation for Latinx Communities. While John passed away in 2018, Bobbie continues to be actively involved with their scholarship fund and recipients.
