This scholarship was established in memory of beloved instructor David Swenson by his friends and family. David died in 2004 after having achieved the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa. At the time, David was a dedicated instructor of Computer Science at Chemeketa, and an active volunteer and supporter of the community.
