Minimum GPA: 3.0
Minimum Credits per term: 12
Specific Criteria: Must reside in the Chemeketa district, and be bilingual/bicultural in Spanish/English.
Program Requirements: Transfer degree leading to B.A. or B.S. in Business, Science, Education, Engineering, Journalism, Law, Mathematics, Medicine, Computer Science. Also, eligible are students pursuing an associate degree or certification in Nursing, Fire Science, Visual Communication.

Established by the Scholarships for Oregon Latinos (SOL) who is committed to providing education opportunities for students so they may become contributing members of society and leaders in their communities. In December of 1994, six community members established SOL in memory of George Puentes Jr., a young man whose life exemplified his commitment to educational excellence He was a first – year law student at Willamette University in Salem at the time of his death.
